Why a Hot Tub Lodge Break Is Even Better in Winter

Summer gets the attention, but there’s a strong case that a hot tub lodge break is at its best in the colder months. Fewer crowds, dramatic frosty landscapes and long cosy evenings make winter in the Clwydian Range genuinely special. Here’s why we love it.

The hot tub hits differently in the cold

There’s nothing quite like sinking into a warm private hot tub while the air is crisp and the sky is clear. Both our lodges have their own tub on the deck, sanitised with skin-friendly bromine (salt) rather than chlorine.

Warm, eco-friendly and effortless

Our A-frames are heated by efficient air-source heat pumps, providing gentle, consistent warmth (and hot water and hot-tub heating) with a fraction of the environmental impact of conventional systems. You arrive to a cosy lodge and never have to think about it.

Winter walks and bright days

The Clwydian Range is stunning under a dusting of snow or low winter sun. Wrap up for a hilltop walk, then retreat to the lodge to thaw out. Just note that in snowy weather local roads can be untreated, so we recommend travel insurance for peace of mind.

Make it a celebration

Winter is celebration season — birthdays, anniversaries and festive getaways. Add a celebration hamper, or book both lodges together for a larger gathering. When you’re ready, check availability and book direct.
